Millhaus Apartments, located in Upton, MA, offers one and two bedroom apartments. Millhaus Apartments is a 6 story/89 unit property. The property is an historical building which is the former Knowlton Hat Factory that was renovated into apartments back in 1982. The site offers on-site unassigned parking, elevators, an exercise room, laundry facilities, and it is attached to the Upton Senior Center. Technically the disabled list must have a Head of Household or spouse between the ages of 18-49 yrs. VAWA or DV certification can move into any unit regardless of age or disability. Millhaus Apartments is a Section 8 Project Based property for low income Seniors 62 and over and disabled persons therefore tenant portion of rent is determined on a case by case basis and is 30% of their Gross Adjusted Income. The Agent should periodically review the composition of admissions to confirm that the 40% target for ELI applicants shall be met for that fiscal year. If this periodic review reveals that admissions of extremely low-income applicants are below the 40% requirement, the Agent shall admit only> extremely low-income families until the 40% target is met. In chronological order, the Agent shall select eligible applicants from the waiting list whose incomes are at or below the extremely low-income limit to fill the first 40% of expected vacancies in the property. Once this target has been reached, admit applicants in waiting list order. Residents must submit an application to determine eligibility and will typically be placed on a wait list that has variable wait times depending on the number of persons on it and unit turnovers.
