There are twelve single-room-occupancy units in this residence. Currently the program accommodates both men and women. Ten units
are set aside for clients of the Bay Cove Mental Health Center (Department of Mental Health) and two units are set aside for clients of the HIV/AIDS Bureau of the Department of Public Health (DPH). The house is a sober house, and no alcohol is allowed on site. Staff and Services Provided Staff coverage is limited to single coverage during day time hours and evenings due to the independence of program participants. Staff members are usually on duty from eight to fourteen hours every day.
but most are able to self medicate. Twenty-four hour support is available through an on-call pager. Clients travel independently, are responsible for their own shopping and determine their level of community involvement without restriction or monitoring by staff. Some clients spend much of their day away from the house.
