These units are part of the Doris Bunte building in Roxbury. Serves 12-14 adults who are living with HIV/AIDS, who would require or benefit from services in Spanish, and are homeless. Residents must be disabled by HIV or another documented disability, have six months clean time, and be able to meet Boston Housing Authority (BHA) housing eligibility requirements. La Comunidad de Walnut Park is located in Egleston Square on the 19th and 20th floors of a high-rise BHA elderly and disabled housing development. It is located within walking distance of stores and public transportation. The program consists of ten studios and two one-bedroom apartments. All units have a kitchen area and full bathroom. Units are handicap accessible. The building has two elevators. Laundry facilities are provided at no cost. A common lounge is available for residents. The building has 24-hour security at the front door. Tenants sign a year lease with the Boston Housing Authority and pay 30% of their annual income.
