Supportive Living, Inc. offers supportive housing and professional care services to disabled individuals with a focus on survivors of brain injury at McLaughlin House, which is located in North Reading, Mass. With a home-like atmosphere and individualized support services, McLaughlin House provides survivors with the tools to live more independent lives. McLaughlin House features: Common kitchen, dining room, family room and activity spaces. Common areas including an outdoor patio SLI offers eligible residents rental assistance through the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department (HUD), under the Section 811 Project Rental Assistance Contract (PRAC). Under PRAC, residents pay 30 percent of their adjusted income toward rent and the balance is subsidized by HUD.
MBTA buses stop at Holgate. The Jackson Square stop on the Orange Line is a five-minute ride on one of two buses that make regular stops at the complex. Buses also provide transportation to shopping areas along Blue Hill Avenue and Mattapan Square and to Ashmont Station on the MBTA Red Line.
