Program Details:

The USDA subsidizes over 15,000 section 515 rural multi-family apartment complexes throughout the 50 states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam. Properties are classified as Elderly or Family and provide unit sizes from studio to 4 bedroom. The properties are serviced by approved Management Agencies who provide required annual tenant certification processing for their residents.

Lovely country setting, including woods and a pond. No heavy traffic or noisy areas. Each apartment is built like a private cottage. No shared hallways or doors. Lots of closet space in all units. Gas and Electricity are included in Phase I units. Phase II residents pay their own gas and electric but are given a deduction from their rent as well. Pets are allowed. Wall to wall carpeting in many main rooms. Heating system is gas fired hot air. Each cottage has a front porch with closet, and a rear patio area. Residents may plant their own gardens. Each resident has a reserved parking space. Visitor parking is also available.

Mobility Access:

Senior bus comes by the building. There are no stairs in any unit. There are 8 wheelchair units: all wheelchair units have roll-in showers, countertop stove and raise over, raise toilet and elongated bathroom sink. Extra wide doorways for wheelchair access. Located within easy reach of stores, libraries, medical centers, beaches, restaurants, police and fire stations, and the local council on aging.
