Chestnut Square is a Caleb Foundation historic rehabilitation of nine buildings that encompass 2/3 of a city block in Lowell. Forty-one large 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom units, and a new community center make up this community. Caleb manages the property as well as coordinates supportive services. Most of the residents are Hispanic, low income, working families. The new community building is the focal point for self-enhancement programs, computer learning and job training classes, a meeting area for residents with a kitchen, a central laundry facility, and administrative offices.
