Located on a 34.9-acre site at 303 Summer Street, Abington Commons will consist of 78 one-bedroom and 114 two-bedroom apartments in eight, three-story buildings. Twenty percent of the units (39) will be affordable to residents earning at or below 50% of the area median income. The apartments will remain affordable for at least 30 years.
MassHousing has also awarded federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits to the borrower, Abington Commons Limited Partnership, and the Department of Housing and Community Development has allocated state housing credits as well.
