Bromley Park is one of the three developments making up the Bromley-Heath development in Jamaica Plain. Managed for thirty years by the Tenant Management Corporation, Bromley Park is part of a unique living environment for BHA family, elderly and disabled residents alike.
Bromley Park was built in the early 1950's, has been partially redeveloped and now includes a combination of high-rise, mid rise and townhouse style apartments. One building is set aside for elderly and disabled residents only.
Bromley Park's apartments vary in size from one to five bedrooms, and include fully accessible units. Residents pay 30% of their income for rent or may opt to pay a flat rent instead.
Bromley Park is served by the Orange Line rapid transit line at the Jackson Square MBTA station adjacent to the site. In addition, there are buses on neighboring Centre Street and the Green Line trolley is only a few blocks down Heath Street. Bromley Park is conveniently located in the Jackson Square/Hyde Square neighborhood of Jamaica Plain. Adjacent properties include the Martha Elliott Health Center, a Super Stop & Shop, a small shopping center, the Jackson Square MBTA station, and the Hyde Square Centre Street business district. The Dimock Street Health Center is also within walking distance. The Hennigan Community School, including gym and pool facilities, is less than three blocks from Bromley Park.
