Ramblewood One contains 170 project-based HUD Section 8 Apartments. Deposit = $500. There are one and two bedroom apartment for the elderly, handicapped and disabled in 3-story garden buildings equipped with elevators. Adjacent to these buildings are two and three bedroom family townhouses that are not subsidized. Each apartment has wall-to-wall carpet, self-cleaning oven, refrigerator, disposal and air conditioner The apartment buildings have a coin-operated laundry room and the townhomes have a washer/dryer hookup. The rent based on 30% of the gross household income.
The town of Holbrook has two elementary school and a junior/senior high school. There are several churches and one temple within the community. Shopping, dry cleaning, pharmacy and restaurants are all within a one-mile radio of Ramblewood.
