Public Bus comes right to the door. Also, there is a disabled van which provides door to door service for tenants. A shopping bus is provided every Tuesday and Thursday.
Located on the western edge of Worcester on a scenic wooded hillside, Coes Pond Village is close to area shopping and dining and is conveniently located on the bus line.
A hairdresser comes in two mornings a week. There is a park nearby but it requires car to get to it. There is a small library onsite, and a public library 3 miles away. We also have social programs such as bingo, a computer room, and we hold other monthly community functions. There is an exercise room. Pet policy: Companion and Service Animals only.
Entrance by ramp and elevator accessible. No steps from the parking lot pathway to an entrance, but the streets are a little hilly.
Public transit (bus) stops right outside our door, and is wheelchair adaptable.
The two buildings are 8 and 13 floors high.
Kitchens are accessible, no cabinets under sink, easy use ovens, etc. The bathrooms have a regular tub with handrails; we have no wheel-in tubs or showers.
