Covenant House in Brighton, a low-income HUD complex for 62 yr olds and up without a disability and to younger applicants with a disability. While currently there are no vacancies, turnovers are reasonably frequent. Covenant House is conveniently located on bus and MBTA Green line in a mixed residential/business area on the Brighton/Brookline line. Close to shopping, cultural and religious activities, the community offers many in-house amenities as well. Covenant House was designated a ‘Community of Quality’ in 2006 by the National Affordable Housing Management Association, a reflection of the outstanding services offered its residents. A multi-ethnic, multi-lingual community, the building maintains student programs with Leslie College, Boston University and Boston College.
The building offers a limited number of handicapped accessible units and two bedroom units in addition to standard studio, and one bedroom apartments.
