Quincy-Weymouth Family Housing provides affordable permanent housing with services for families transitionig from homelessness to independent living. The families selected for this housing are among those whose homelessness is directly related to alcohol and/or drug abuse problems.Families are required to have achieved 3-6 months of sobriety before becoming eligible for Quincy-Weymouth Family Housing.
Quincy-Weymouth Family Housing offers on site management to support families with their recovery from substance abuse, with obtaining services,and with their intergration into larger community. The predominant services needs for families can be met by existing community-based agencies. Services such as substances abuse counseling,mental health, employment, adult education,day care and after school programs are some of the services offered by local agencies. Services will offered according to the needs and preferences of the individual families.
