Serves either three single men and women or one adult and one family. Applicants must be living with HIV/AIDS, demonstrate financial need, and be a Nantucket resident. Applicants should be homeless or at risk of homelessness.
SERVICES OFFERED
Case management provided by a nurse
Assistance accessing community resources (i.e. skilled nursing, homehealth aides, legal advocacy, counseling & respite care)
Volunteers assist with transportation, errands, and offer companionship
SETTING
Reb Brown Friendship House consists of two cottages on the same property. The front cottage has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a kitchen/dining area, living room, entry room, and deck. The second cottage has one bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and two small decks. The units have laundry facilities. One unit is wheelchair accessible.
Residents may be required to sign a lease with the Nantucket AIDS Network.
