The Open Door SRO Program sets aside 15 rooms for men with HIV.Applicants must be homeless. If applicants have an addiction history they must have 30 days of clean time. The YMCA does not allow residents to bring drugs or alcohol on the premises. No guests are allowed in the residence. The rooms are equipped with microwaves and refrigerators. Residents share bathrooms, kitchenettes, and common lounges. The building has elevators and token-operated laundry facilities. The units are wheelchair accessible. Methadone/Benzodiapines/MS Contin are acceptable. Support Groups are available. SERVICES: Fully furnished rooms (including linens.) On-site staff in evenings. 24 hour emergency staff coverage (YMCA front desk has beeper numbers for CCAA staff). Access to CCAA services. Meal delivery (lunches from ElderLink and dinners from area restaurants). CCAA can provide emergency food vouchers for groceries. Access to all YMCA facilities (gym, pool, etc.).
