Serves 24 men and women living with HIV/AIDS or families with at least one member who is living with HIV/AIDS. Residents should be ambulatory, and able to care for their children (if applicable). Residents should require or benefit services from receiving services in Spanish. Applicants must be homeless. Applicants taking methadone are eligible for this program. SERVICES: Case management Services in English and Spanish. Substance abuse and relapse prevention counseling. Mental health counseling. Apartment search assistance. Coordination of move-ins. Assistance with shopping, transportation, and medication management, as needed. HIV education. Community activities(i.e. parties, meals, etc.). SETTING. Proyecto Opciones program participants live in scattered-site apartments in the Boston and Chelsea areas. The size of the apartments are determined by the needs of particular individuals and families.
