There are two separate buildings: Sheila Daniels serves single mothers where at least one household member has HIV and a history of substance abuse. Edgewood residestns are HIV+ mothers or fathers with children, where at least one household member has HIV. Six months sobriety is a prerequisite for entering the program. Household must be eligible for Section 8 rental subsidies. 30% of annual income. Residents sign an annual lease with property management company. SERVICES OFFERED: Case management from visiting staff. Resident may participate in Dimock programs (including substance abuse treatment, acupuncture, dental, medical, family counseling, living support, and respite).
Entrance is ground level, by ramp, lift or elevator accessible.
Sheila Daniels building has one 3 BR unit and 9 2 BR units, near Dimock Hospital. Edgewood has two 3 BR units and 1 4BR unit, and these are in Dorchester.
