33 brand-new affordable apartment homes will be making their way to the Uphams Corner neighborhood of Dorchester in Spring of 2015. St. Kevin’s Residential, located next to the historic Strand Theater, features apartments that will be affordable to households with incomes at or below 60% of the Area Medium Income. The apartments at St. Kevin’s will consist of one, two, and three-bedroom spacious apartments that will feature central air conditioning as well as fully-applianced kitchens that even come with dishwasher and disposals. A bicycle storage room and laundry facility will also be part of the resident package at St. Kevin’s. Residents of the community will also have access to the adjacent Uphams Corner Residential community for a fitness center, management office, community space, and on-site Resident Services Coordinator.
8 of the apartments are subsidized under an MRVP Project-Based Subsidized program. There is an Emergency Assistance homeless shelter preference. Verification of shelter status must accompany application. There is NO minimum income required for MRVP apartments. All applicants will be entered into a lottery. If your income is below these limits you may apply for these MRVP Project-Based Voucher apartments.
