The Myrtle Village Apartments consists of 7 units of rental housing - the conversion of an existing single-family home with some new construction into three apartments and the conversion of a duplex-style home with some new construction into four apartments. Myrtle Village, LLC owns the apartments and the project was made possible through the generous support of the citizens of Newton through the Community Preservation Act. The Newton Community Development Foundation will manage the Myrtle Village Apartments. Metro West CD is serving as the Lottery Agent for the initial leasing of the units. The project features two 3-bedroom apartments, four 2-bedroom apartments and one I-bedroom apartment. Two of the units will be made available to households earning 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI) or less. Two of the units will be made available to households earning 80% of AMI and three units will be made available to households earning 85% of AMI. Basic specifications for the units in the project are included in the table below. Transportation for wheelchair users is available.
